Hydroxycut has been selling weight loss pills for a number of years. They have been through every major ban in recent years such as the ban of ephedra. But more recently, there have been various reports of liver problems, liver failure, and the death of an 18 year old of extreme and severe liver failure in 2007. Because of that, in March of 2009, the FDA issued a statement warning against any distribution or purchase of Hydroxycut for safety reasons. Hydroxycut came out at the same time however and pulled 14 of their major products off the shelves. Those products still have yet to return to the shelves as they are investigated for liver damaging elements. We suspect it may be like StarCaps, which were found to use prescription drugs and still remain off the market.
